Veteran’s Benefits

The Veteran Aid & Attendance Pension Program offers families and individuals an additional method of meeting their home care costs. For qualifying service members and their spouses, veterans who served during wartime and who are 65 years and older may qualify for benefits given by the Department of Veterans Affairs. This pension is part of the Veterans Benefit Program and was designed to provide financial aid for war veterans to help cover the cost of long-term care at home. Our Era Life Care staff is prepared to assist you with verification of benefits.

Reverse Mortgage:

A reverse mortgage is a loan for senior homeowners that uses a portion of the home’s equity as collateral. The loan generally does not have to be repaid until the last surviving homeowner permanently moves out of the property or passes away. Please contact your financial advisor for more information. We can also assist you with referrals.

Workers’ Compensation Insurance:

Workers’ compensation provides payment for medical care for employees who are injured in the course of work. If you’re scheduled for surgery or suffering with a debilitating illness or chronic disease due to a work related injury or were awarded medical benefits when settling your workers’ compensation claim you may qualify to receive home care services. These benefits may assist with your recovery from surgery and activities of daily living affected by your work related injury.
